On several occasions you have asked for Sister Michaeline's Apple Crisp recipe,
well now it's here for you!
Apple Crisp
8 Apples (peeled)
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Topping
2 1/2 cups flour
3/4 cup sugar
1 cup butter
dash of salt
1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Butter a 13x9 pan well. Shred apples finely and spread in pan. Mix sugars and cinnamon and spread over apples.
Topping - Mix flour, sugars, salt and cut in butter. Sprinkle in vanilla and mix thoroughly. If too wet, add more flour. Sprinkle crumbs over apple mixture.
Bake at 375 for 45 minutes or
until done. Crumbs should be golden brown. Reheat next day to serve warm.
